Episode 116
Another conversation with Katy Jon Went
TRANSGENDER, NON-BINARY, ASEXUAL [POST-GENDER]
1 hr 6 min. Recorded on 17 February 2026.
Katy’s pronouns are they/them, she/her, but tolerates occasional he/hims. They see themselves as a transgender person, identify as non-binary and asexual, and where they’ve landed since our last conversation is post-gender. Find out what that means to Katy in this episode.
We also talk about holding opposing truths, internal comfort over external acceptance, having no surgery regrets, letting go of masks, the context of pronoun use, doing what you have to do to be happy, and arriving at simply being human.
“The internal integration came from a physical change, but the physical change didn’t matter to me in the mirror, or even how others saw me, in the end… it wasn’t a sudden internal ‘oh, you’re now a woman,’ but an internal ‘oh, you’re now whole.'”
